Seldom Seen Farm

A family-owned and operated farm located in Montville, Ohio. We produce traditional maple syrup and confections, as well as bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup.

About Us
We are Kevin, Morgan, Chase, and Cora Holy. Born and raised in Geauga County, I have been helping friends and family produce maple syrup for nearly 25 years. After school and on weekends I’d help local farms collect maple sap. In 2008, we purchased our land in Montville, Ohio and started tapping trees and boiling sap on our kitchen stove. As we grew, we moved outside to a small evaporator and added trees each year into the size of our current operation, and have turned our hobby into a business, with roughly 1,000 maple trees on tubing over about 12 acres.

In 2021, we submitted our syrup to the Geauga County Maple Festival for the first time, and won Grand Champion. It was like winning the World Series of maple. When we produce our syrup, we pay attention to the little things and always strive to be clean and precise. We owe that to all the other producers who have helped us along the way for which I am forever grateful.
