In 1998. Butternut Maple Farm was established by past Geauga County Maple Festival Grand Champion Pierre Delafranconi in Burton

In 2017, with the assistance of family and friends Pierre designed a 2000 square foot sugarhouse that houses a short term rental studio

apartment Listed on Airbnb and VRBO, retail showroom selling our award winning organic maple syrup and maple confections, commerial

kitchen and space for intimate events.  Our operation includes 6500 taps in our 5 sugar bushes.  Our products are some with the retail, wholesale

and bulk sales market and have ben shipped nationally and internationally.  Pierre is not only a master syrup maker but he is also a student of the sugaring process, always

reading an learning about new techniques in the field.  His personal mission is to educate others on the sustainability of maple syrup as well as teach children about

the tradition,
