Moths & Meteors Overnight Event

Register to bring your tent and spend the night enjoying the Perseid meteor shower at Observatory Pak (best viewing 1-3 AM) during this one-night-only camping event! We’ll also have black light and mercury vapor lamps attracting night-flying moths you can observe or help sample and survey. A naturalist will be onsite sunset to sunrise. CAMPING GUIDELINES: Tents only. Arrive to set up after 4 PM August 12 and leave the next morning August 13 by 9 AM. No campers, trailers, generators, alcoholic beverages, grills or open fires. Pets must be leashed at all times. Cancelled in case of inclement weather. Musts show registration receipt prior to entering the park, and only those registered will be permitted to enter. Registration required for all attending, up to six people per reservation.
