Holiday Artisan Soapmaking Class

Learn how to make beautiful, high-quality artisan soaps perfect for creating handmade holiday gifts! In this hands-on class, you’ll learn a simple soapmaking process while exploring the basics of working safely with soapmaking ingredients. We’ll cover proper ingredient handling, followed by a demonstration of working with lye. You’ll also learn how to use clays and micas for color and essential oils or high-quality fragrance oils to create beautifully scented soaps.
The class includes:
• A brief introduction to soapmaking basics and ingredient safety
• A demonstration of proper lye handling
• A hands-on soapmaking project

You will receive one bar of the demonstration bar plus a bar from each group. The finished soaps will be ready for pickup approximately one week after the class.
